english girls can be so mean

Just a vintage babe trying to survive in a modern world.

I bought the dress almost two years ago, and this is probably the second time I’ve worn it. Mostly because I didn’t have any shoes that would go with it until I found the oxfords at VV a while ago. Secondly, it just didn’t fit right until now. It still doesn’t fit perfectly, but it’s good enough.

I bought the dress new, but it’s based off of a vintage design.

I thought I was looking pretty dapper today in this dress.

I thrifted it from Goodwill for about seven bucks, originally from Forever 21. I have a strange cosmic connection with Forever 21 where often times I stumble upon a lone item in a size I would have originally thought wouldn’t fit me, but then the item ends up looking wonderful and I give it a great home. This dress is just another one of those lone items I picked up with hope.

It also has a cool back cut out.

AND I DON’T EVEN HAVE TO WEAR A BRA WITH IT. Which was literally the most freeing feeling on earth. It was weird being at school without a bra on, but undeniably awesome at the same time.

Thrifted the shorts (that were previously pants) from VV, and thrifted the shoes from a box of old shit from my mom and grandma. Finally, I think they are almost completely broken in. I don’t feel like I’m binding my feet anymore when I wear them, so that is a plus.

Shirt from Forever 21, a store I have learned is now too expensive for me after having adjusted to thrift pricing. Lol.

Today has been rather magnificent. The weather is beyond gorgeous.

Mix ‘n’ match, yo. Floral lace and leather and studs go surprisingly well together.

Like usual, I felt pretty kickass. Although the red lipstick only makes me feel more kickass than normal.

Today wasn’t as pointless as I thought it would be. I still don’t wanna go to work tonight, though.

So I picked up the shirt at VV a few weeks ago and wore it for the first time today. I just remember seeing it on the rack and beaming at its potential; thankfully it fits pretty well with just the right amount of bagginess.

The shorts were a Christmas present from a friend, and just so happened to match perfectly with the shirt. The shorts are unbelievably short, though, and I felt uncomfortably exposed all day.

I looked great, though. So in the end it’s all right.

So I thrifted both the shirt and the skirt. The skirt I’ve had forever but the shirt was a recent purchase and today was it’s debut; I quite like the print. I hate how the skirt doesn’t stay wrinkle free, but the color is gorgeous.

Today ended up being pretty swell.

And the shoes, after two years, are finally remotely comfortable and broken in a decent amount.

Thrifted the shirt and shorts from two different thrift stores. Thrifted the shoes from a box of my mom’s clothes from when she was in the 8th grade.

The shoes fit, but they’re still pretty damn stiff after not being worn in like, forty years. I’m breaking ‘em in, though!

Today is the unofficial-official senior skip day. I made it to one of my two classes. Welp.

Thrifted dress from VV—and it fits better than dresses I’ve spent ten times the amount on. Shoes from my mother’s school days. After not being worn in 40 years they’re starting to break in… slightly. Special appearance of the PARTY TIME earrings. Today was abnormally phenomenal.

So last weekend when I was just about ready to pay for all my stuff at Value Village, I happened upon this beauty of an oversized sweater. I didn’t bother trying it on, flung it in with my pile, and now I think it is just the greatest thing ever.

Score!

Thrifted the shorts once upon a time and they are now looser than ever, so woohoo. Thrfited the boots last weekend for eight bucks at VV, pretty dang good steal.

My hair is looking rather nice.

Today was shitty.
